Asterix® D12 is a plant-based, low-odor monomer with a category IV flammability. It is a patented mixture of Methyl ethyl-, Ethyl methyl-, Diethyl-, and Dimethyl itaconate esters. It can be used as a reactive diluent with unsaturated polyester resins (UPR). When copolymerized with acrylates, methacrylates, and styrenes, Asterix® D12 contributes a high glass transition temperature.
